TÜV Product Service free technical advice assists Eurofighter supplier

TÜV Product Service have recently provided Nuclear Hardening advice via the Defence Standards (D.Stan) Free Helpdesk to support a supplier to the Eurofighter project. D.Stan Helpdesk was set up to provide a central point for technical support for the UK Defence Industry and, as a founder member, TÜV Product Service have provided advice to a number of clients through this service.

One recent case in point was Ultra Electronics Electrics Division (UEED) who supply the pilot's Stick Top and Throttle Top for the Eurofighter Typhoon Aircraft, and are therefore responsible for the design and test requirements referenced in the equipment Specification. One of these requirements is Nuclear Hardening. Compliance with this was to be achieved through analysis of the materials used in the construction.
