equipment wishing to gain access to the US market must obtain the necessary grant (approval) from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
As a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) appointed under the EU-USA Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), BABT is authorised by the FCC to issue grants for a wide range of equipment within the following categories:

TÜV Product Service have created an online application portal for manufacturers of products within the scope of FCC 47 CFR to obtain an equipment authorisation through BABT as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) / Conformity Assessment Body (CAB).
This online application portal is designed to simplify the application process, which also includes an optional online payment facility. By using the BABT online portal, manufacturers can apply to BABT from any location around the world, and will get a fast & efficient service. This means products can be authorised for US market access faster than the traditional paper-based approach. Manufacturers will also be assured that the application will still be handled by BABT’s experienced certification engineers.
