BABT Production Quality Certification (PQC)
Certification of your production quality system to the ![]()
requirements of the BABT PQC scheme (BABT PS 340) typically involves a one day audit of a manufacturer’s production facility. It is particularly suitable to suppliers within the supply chain of Telecommunications products and components into the European Union, who need to demonstrate to their customers that their products comply with the requirements of the EU Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive, but who do not have primary responsibility for placing their products on the market.
The importance of the PQC scheme has grown as more and more major telecoms, radio and IT equipment manufacturers are subcontracting their manufacturing requirements. Such suppliers are seeking business partners with credible, internationally recognised, production quality systems as demonstrated by BABT PQC certification.
Apart from meeting the Internal Production Control (continuing compliance in manufacture) requirements of the EU R&TTE Directive (Annexes II, III and IV), the PQC scheme also meets the requirements of the BABT Certified for Network Connection (CNC) scheme and of the BABT “tick” mark product safety certification scheme.
