Market: The European Union

Products: Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) including Air Traffic Management Equipment (ATME) and systems.

Equipment within the scope of the regulations includes cellular radio equipment, eg.

  • 3G
  • CDMA
  • TETRA
  • NMT terminals and base stations
  • Modems
  • ISDN terminal adaptors
  • Telephones
  • BluetoothTM equipment
  • Commercially available amateur radio transceivers and receivers
  • Private Mobile Radio (PMR)
  • Short Range Devices (SRD)
  • Satellite equipment
  • Radar transceivers

Manufacturers and suppliers of R&TTE and ATME wishing to place their products on the European Union market must demonstrate compliance with the essential requirements of the R&TTE Directive.

BABT provides the following services to assist its customers in demonstrating compliance:
