RTTE / R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC NotificationBABT RTTE / R&TTE EC Directive Compliance Services RTTE / R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC is the European regulation applicable to radio and telecommunications terminal equipment. Manufacturers, suppliers and importers of such equipment must apply one of the conformity assessment procedures of the Directive before CE marking the equipment and placing it on the market of the European Economic Area* EEA). Notification Article 6.4 of the R&TTE Directive requires that radio equipment which uses frequency bands whose use is not harmonised throughout the European Community shall be notified to the relevant national spectrum management authorities at least four weeks before it is placed on their market.
