EMC/EMI Testing

We offer a complete test and consultancy service for all facets of the electromagnetic environment in defence, aerospace, industrial, marine, consumer, medical, telecoms, IT, rail and automotive applications. Through many years' experience, we have developed a complete understanding of all aspects of EMC-from technical and commercial perspectives.

If your products must meet a defence or aerospace specification, the EMC Directive, national approvals or internationally accepted standard, we have the accreditation, reputation and expertise.

Telecoms Testing - GSM/GPRS Testing, SAR Testing, RF Testing, Telecom Testing , Radio Testing , Smartcard Terminal Type Approval

We have been involved in GSM/Telecoms testing since the inception of the regulatory test regime. The knowledge gained by our experienced GSM team during testing for the European terminal directives, and our participation in GSMTAAB, the PCS Validation Group (PVG) and test case validation, means we are well placed to offer a value-added confidence, development and conformance test service for the R&TTE directive and for the GCF/PTCRB requirements in the voluntary sphere.

We have the accreditation , expertise and equipment to test 850, 900, 1800, 1900, GPRS, EDGE and UMTS devices.

Our EMV accreditation means we can assess smartcard terminals against Mastercard requirements. We can also assess RF performance on the latest wireless LAN technologies (802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, HiperLAN1 and HiperLAN2) as well as a wide range of other radio devices including network infrastructure (base stations and repeaters), private mobile radios (PMR), low power devices and marine radio (EPIRB, SARTs, PLBs).

Environmental Testing – Shock Testing, Vibration Testing, HALT, HASS, Packaging Performance, Climatic Testing

TUV Product Service specialises in testing products in their intended operating environments, to ensure that they will perform as expected. Our services are extremely wide-ranging - from simulating the environment in our Fareham laboratories to assisting our customers to create their own on-site test facilities.

Safety Testing – CB scheme, GS mark, Bauart mark, TUV Mark

Our safety test facilities offer assessment and testing to British, European and International standards on a wide range of electrical and electronic business and domestic equipment. We are continually expanding our capability to cover an increasingly broad range of standards.

Our safety test reports can be used to support CB scheme as well as to achieve TUV Mark, GS Mark, BABT Safety certification and Bauart Mark.
